Home Tanning Accessories

Now that you have made the decision to invest in a residential tanning bed so that you can acquire a tan right in the comfort of your own home, the next step is for you to shop for home tanning accessories. First, remember that your tanning bed is just like any other home appliance which would require some form of maintenance and upkeep. If something goes wrong with the tanning bed, some of the tanning bed parts and accessories that you may need includes the ballasts, internal bed fans, starters, minute timers and meters. All of these are available either through the manufacturer or through specialty stores which offer tanning bed parts and accessories.

Second, if everything goes well with your tanning bed, it is the tanning lamps which would need to be replaced after about four to five years. Depending on the model of the tanning bed that you have, you may be required to buy lamps which all have the same or different electrical requirements.

Third – and this is probably the most fun part – you need to stock up on tanning lotions, oils, enhancers and skin moisturizers. Your home tanning experience will never be complete without the aid of a wide array of tanning lotions. Tanning lotions have different effects to the skin when applied before lying down on a tanning bed. They can serve as a moisturizing lotion, they can further enhance or darken your tan, and they can also fight the aging effects of the sun on your skin. Finally, you should not forget to stock up on the protective eye gear which is used to shield your eyes from the ultraviolet rays when you are in a home tanning session.
